Another Conservation video star is Exhibits Conservator Terry Boone. This video focuses on the Homestead Act of 1862, the political controversies of that time, and how it finally became law during the Civil War. Terry discusses the condition of this parchment public law and how it is prepared for loan in a plexi sandwich (though the video mockup of the sandwich layers omits the bottom matboard). Registrar Jim Zeender talks about the loan review process.
