December 15th is Bill of Rights Day!

Did you know two parchment Bills of Rights are at the National Archives?  The official record copy of the Bill of Rights is displayed in the Rotunda of the National Archives.  A less familiar Bill of Rights is seen in the photo.  Each of the States of the Union received a parchment copy listing  12 proposed  amendments to the Constitution to be ratified.  Only Delaware returned its parchment list of proposed amendments with the ratification message written at the bottom.  There are plans to exhibit this record at the  Delaware State Archives in spring  2012.
